Need a place in SoCal to do gears, and what rear do I have?
As the title says; can anyone reccomend a place in SoCal to do a gear install, and a round-a-bout figure for the labor cost assuming I provide the gear set.
Second, how can I determine if I have a 7.5" or an 8.8"? It's a 2000 5-speed 3.0. |
hmm...im goin to guess 7.5 since you have an xlt...but it could be 8.8 if its 4x4...there is a tag hanging on the differential that will tell you for sure though...and i have no idea about a shop...im waiting till i get my gears then goin to shop around for places to install that and my LS at the same time...

Places to install? Reccomended vendor to buy from? Anyone? Bueller? |
8.8 has a straight side (4) on each end of the diff cover. 7.5 has 2 flat sides and 2 rounded sides. There's a pic somewhere, maybe on RPS.
