NEED SERIOUS HELP ASAP.
Took the truck in today to get my new gears put in.. 4.56's. The shop are idiots for one because they put the truck on the hoist, ripped apart the rear axle, and then found out that the supplier sent me TWO d35 Kits by accident.. so now im out 4 hours in labour for nothing.
BUT the major problem is this... my carrier. I got this weird carrier no idea what its called i think trac-loc or something, but instead of having the pin that slides out over top of the gears.. it has this massive plate that has to clear like 4 or 5 teeth. Soooo.. i can either keep my stock carrier, and grind down 4 or 5 teeth to make the 4.56's work (when i get the right ****ign kit this time for the rear) or get a new carrier that doesnt have to grind any teeth down... what do i do!! im out so much money guys :( I cant take the gears back to the supplier becasuse they were special order apparently and they wont refund me my money, just replace them with the right gears, but even then its my carrier now im worried about. Keep the 4.10's or do you think i should grind the teeth down 4 or 5 of them with stock carrier? or get a new $450 carrier and do it right?? ugh |
