new rotors help

I just installed some new EBC drilled and sloted rotors and now when i come almost to a complete stop, my breaks peddal vibrates and dropes a little and it feels like the breaks loosen up. after the the abs light comes on and they seem to be fine, so i took out the abs fuse and now they run fine. I was wondering how i can fix the problem to get my abs back working. I checked all the wiring and everything is pluged in and working. is is possable to install the rotors on the wrong side??

Do you have 4wd ? The stock Edge front rotors have a sensor ring for the ABS sensors. The peddle vibration is the ABS unit thinking the front wheels are locked up.Either your new rotors don't have the ring or you moved/damaged the front sensors when you changed rotors.

Well i took it back up there and the new rotors dont have the sensor rings...are they supost to come on new rotors? I thought they were and since i knew nothing of them i didnt check...They said the rotors fit fine and everything is perfect, just no sensor ring.

OTRtech hit some good points and i just wanna add that your ABS light being on isn't a good thing! that means you have no ABS.

and not having ABS is a bad thing i would rather not have it!

i would assume that your new rotors didn't have the tone ring on them for the ABS system.....

i am so much happier on the street and off road without abs... what a waste of money and design time.

although i have yet to drive it in the snow without abs, otherwise braking is better.
