no 4wd until warmed up
 

We had some cold weather and ice the other day. We didn't go out all day until about 4 o'clock so when I backed out of the garage I decided to engage the 4x4. No typical noises of the case shifting and I spun the tires on purpose. Great, no 4wd!
I drove the 10 miles to town to pick up supper and 10 back.
When I got to the driveway I switched to 4 low and it worked as it should. I spun the tires on the ice and saw marks on all corners. I assume it is a weather issue but obviously it should work no matter the temp.
I have had the truck about a month. It's an with 04 with 115,000.
