new toeque converter

hello so i am planning on swapping a motor in to my ranger with the 4r44e and i have the stock torque convert in it now and was wondering if there is a better one. it deems that the stock one slips too much when its not locked

I have never heard of any aftermarket torque converters available, but there may be some out there. The only different ones I have seen available are that the 2wd and 4wd trans have a different stall rate. I believe the 4wd has a 200 RPM higher stall rate. Always seemed to me that a 4wd converter would be a nice swap in a 2wd trans. I know when I had an auto trans behind my 302 bumping the stall rate really added some pep to the truck around town.
