Those are the ones.

The old CV's were actually from an Acura Legend, they guy that built them said they could handle 1000+ HP, but no one was ever sure about the angles. When I told Aaron I broke one he said he was surprised it lasted this long... lol

zabeard Dec 6, 2008 07:39 PM

lol a 1000hp...

That's just what I was told... I've never seen a 1000hp Legend either but stranger things have happened... lol

Hah! Nice work!
Should be interesting to see how the 930s hold up.
How has the rest of that front end been holding up?

FX2.3 Dec 7, 2008 01:20 AM

what's a cv? lol 2wd ftw!

99ranger4x4 Dec 7, 2008 01:34 AM

nice, acura CV's.. i never even thought about looking around for another car for donor shafts.

1000 hp is one thing.. launching a truck is another :006:

very impressive carnage. i bet those porsche shafts were a pretty penny.

HighRollerII Dec 7, 2008 09:47 AM

So far so good. In nearly 4 years I've only had to replace the bushings once (my choice, weren't bad, just loud), the inner/outer tie rods once, and now the half shafts.

It was only the inner CV's, the shafts custom and the outers were Ford.
