Pic request

manual transfer case shift linkage, complete (disassembled) and/or setup (on vehicle). I was looking at Bob's photos, but that's a modded 150 linkage.

I'm trying to figure out what I'm still possibly missing hardware wise.

please do, but Bob (rwenzing) has pointed out to me that not all 04 extension housings had the bosses for bolting the shift linkage to the extension housing. And wouldn't ya know it, I'm one of those 04 models without the bosses - or so it appears.

I got screwed on my tranny because it didnt have the bosses. I got my extension housing from Bob on a trade (thank you again for that Bob). I don't know where you'd find that except maybe from ford or the yard you got your case from.

Gimme a bit I've got pictures of mine but I'll have to upload them first. They are all pictures after it went into the truck though so they aren't the best angles.

BTW what hardware do you suspect you're still missing?

I'm missing mounting hardware basically. And some interior hardware stuff to keep it looking OEM.

I have next monday and tuesday off, like every week. Guess I'll be making a trip to the El Pisso junkyards to find an extension housing. Or I guess I could get ripped off from the stealership on a new one.

Do you have a picture of what the extension housing looks like? I have the picture of Bob's housing somewhere if you haven't already seen it. You'll have to make sure it has the bosses and the hole for the speed sensor. Anyways though, there are only two bolts that hold the shifter to the housing. One large and one smaller one.

Here are the pics I have. If they aren't what you're looking for I can see about getting some better ones tomorrow.

tail housing = extension housing

Razor......yeah bob just pm'd me with the great news. What a PITA........oh and it appears I'm lacking that little yellow piece that connects your linkage to the selector on the t-case.

For once, why can't something be easy in my life. LOL

King of like that.......

This is the image Bob PM'ed me with...

I HAVE TO HAVE that OSS sensor (blue connector) on the extension housing. I can't tell if your extension housing has that or not, let alone if it would work (looks kind of different.....

Yeah scotts doesn't have the OSS on it. I got screwed with mine, the first one I got had the bosses but not the OSS and the second one I got was the exact opposite. None of the auto trannys have the speed sensor on the tail housing so one from an auto tranny is out of the question(but that makes it easy for the auto guys). Your options are gonna be pretty limited. The housing will have to come from a 2001-present manual tranny truck.

BTW that little yellow thing is just a plastic bushing. You could probably just make something to put on the peg on the selector.
