Poss. Lock-Right Install

I was wondering would a lock-right be worth throwing into my open rear (28 spline) it has 180,000 miles on it or should I just buy a new L/S axle from a junked ranger? Either way they are about the same price but I know the lock-right gives better traction then a L/S.

Are you planning on running a bigger tire than a 32? Do you feel your current axle is in good shape? Bearings, brakes, seals all ok? if so then I would just toss a lock rite in there.

I would almost recommend an explorer 31 spline axle, then run an aussie locker. Same type of device but it's cheaper since it is factory direct. Plus you end up with a stronger rear axle and disc brakes.
I had aussie lockers front and rear of my sport trac and loved them. However they are not as smooth with a manual transmission. Since they lock when torque is applied and unlock when coasting, it can unlock/lock between gear shifts which feels a little odd during cornering. I know several people who run them on daily drivers with manual transmissions but some people don't like it as much, fwiw. Shane has one and has talked about it here some.
