Thanks for the information....
I ran the PowerTrax (lunchbox) locker in my Jeep years ago when it was still owned by PowerTrax.... Now Richmond Gear owns the company and the locker has been slightly redesigned.... along with the price being increased by $125.
The installation was about 2-3 hours.... highway and offroad performance were quite good.... Daily driving with a manual transmission will be noticable when getting on and off the gas going around corners, but with the automatic, you should not even notice the locker is there...

on the rating scale why would it be bad for towing?

this is a good part number to remeber for us 4wd guys 35D/NSIFS

I suspect it probably has something to do with the ability of the locker to slip depending upon which tire is turning faster....
When towing there is more stress put on the differential and which means more heat.... For this reason the manufacturer suggests that you use the higher viscosity gear lube such as 90W-140 vs the usual 75W90.
