Question about 07 Ranger 8.8 rear

Newb questions for sure.

There's a guy on here selling the 8.8 rear end off his 2007 XLT and it has what I want. (4.30 L/S, must be an aftermarket kit).

I'm not educated on the compatibility thing as far as drums and discs and rim sizes go, will this work on my '98 XLT? Do 07's have drums? Will my 15" rims fit over these calipers?

Thanks

The drum size might be different but that it. Also not sure if Ford changed the plug on the ABS sensor between the years since in 98 the speed was read at the rear axle.

if I get it and the plug is different, am I screwed? Or is there a workaround ?

Again I'm not 100% sure if they changed the plug type. Probably not though. You might be able to check on a part website to see if the part number is the same.

My '01 axle went into a '98....I don't even think we carried over his speed sensor to my old axle and everything was a-okay.

I'd confirm that 4.30 ratio if I was you though.

10" drums will fit in your wheels just fine.
