rear axle

whats up i bought my 94 ford ranger 4x4 4.0 v6 auto when i bought it the lady told me that she had the axle swapped for a s10 axle is that possible with out fabing it, and its not posi :thumbsdow

What year s10, did she say??

The easiest/fastest verification would be to read the tag on the diff-cover (and or post photos of the diff here)...

... you could always pull a rear wheel and try to mount it onto the front -- the Ranger should have a 5 on 4.5" wheel where the s-10 is a 5 on 4.75" so to fit the rear would neet to have redrilled plates, adaptors, or new axle-shafts.

That would suck, would have to carry 2 spares.

If the axle is mounted under the springs it is not an s-10 axle, also if it has four of the same wheels on it it is not an s10 axle...post a picture of the axle

Somebodys got more money than brains, cause BOMK the S10's didn't offer a L/S or posi, so WITW would you put a POS 7.5 lame axle in a Ranger when you could swap in an Explorer 8.8??????
