4x4 Swap...

4x4 Swap...
I know, I know, you've heard it a million times. I want to do the swap... Can you guys please give me a list of what I need and what needs to be done, I don't have enough fab skills to do a SAS so that is totally out, also up here in Canada a 4x4 Ranger will resell for about $4000+ compared to the same 2x4 truck and finally I am not using this for wheelin', it would only be used for driving in the winter.
Also could you let me know what year I need to get and is it common for 4x4 3.0 manuals? Because I want to keep my 3.0 and manual trans.
And if I left anything out (I probably did), just school me on the swap.
I knew I would of left something out... But also I would like some info on the the electric t-case(I don't know if this is the exact name but the non-manual one).

Well.....if you want an electric shift transfer case prepare yourself to change the entire dash harness to obtain one little switch. Manual shifts are much easier when doing the swap.
As far as transmissions, finding a 4x4 3.0 M5OD is going to be a little difficult. That combination wasn't very popular. The trans itself is the same between the 4x4 4.0 and 4x4 3.0, but the bell housing is different. That's just my take on everything.
