which rear end for a 4 banger gen 3?

alright I need an upgrade... I get stuck way too often even on gravel hills :( I was thinking 8.8 locker with 4.10's because my tires are larger then stock... 235/75/15 rather then 235/60/15 i'm also sick of mainly 4th gear driving... what do you guys suggest for a 5speed 2.3? i'm planning on nicer rims with bf goodrich a/t's and 3 inch lift eventually...

What gears do you have now?

I got the 2.5L 5 speed and I have 31's. I upgraded to the 8.8 with 4.10 L/S from my 7.5 with 3.73 open. It put me back at stock power. I really havent tested the L/S out to much yet. Been way to busy to go play. We will see what happens this winter in the snow.

How often do you play? Do you really need a locker? I personally wouldnt waste the money on a locker in a 2wd. Thats why I went with just a L/S cause thats all I needed. If it was a 4x4 off road vehicle, then I would consider a locker.

well I live somewhat in the middle of nowhere... i'm about 40% off road driving... yesterday I got stuck in the fresh gravel in the level part of the driveway at my gf's new house... how humiliating lol i'm going to assume its 7.5 3.73 and I know its open... her driveway is also extremely steep

is there any particular vehicles that came stock with 4.10 8.8 rears with l/s so I could look around at the scrap yards?

Any 4.0 Ranger will have an 8.8. You are most likely to find the 4.10's and l/s in a 4.0 4x4 ex cab Ranger.
