Icon5 rear end clunk when braking

i am buying a 04 3.0 2wd,5spd,ext cab, when i apply brakes at a roll i hear a clunk from the back end,i have checked the brakes,rear end seems to hav a little slack,i have noticed there are no nubs between the leaf springs,none broke,..................any ideas

i talked to a ford tech,he says it may the slip yoke on the trans getting dry
possible ?

check your u-bolts

they may be loose but you do not see it
