Oh and I think 3 of my lugnuts on that wheel were loose when I figured out that I lost the caliper bolt. I could turn them with my fingers. I gave that guy an earful, a couple of times...

switch to chromemoly shafts and u-joints. its supposed to make them as strong as stock dana 60 shafts. i have a friend who has a 79 f250 with a built 351 and its on 44's and his chromemoly shaft hasnt broken yet. although the other side is stock and it hasnt broken yet either...
thought about it but 500 for one side is too much for the D44, I could get a 60, rebuild it, put a locker and gears in it and have it under the truck for 2000. That is only 4 shafts and if the sand snaps a shaft I can only imagine what rocks are going to do when i get into those.

Screw that noise. Spider 9 FTW! Can be yours with 3 1/2 Tubes for only $2200... plus Locker... plus shafts... plus brakes... OH! and plus like 6+ months of waiting... I think.

WHAT?!? How does that make sense? If you fix up the Center so it doesn't hang down 6" they are great axles to have with a BB wheeling rig. For a 4.0 liter wheeling rig, I'd agree, but if you've got a big *** motor, Rocks work great.

see, and you cant build a rockwell up to run 42and keep the truck sitting low. no uptravel, very little ground clearance, and heavy as fawk.... ill stick to a 9" or d60 and have loads of clearance and strength.
