Locking Hubs
Hey i have been having trouble with my wheel bearings and im looking for opinions. I have an 02 ranger and have been through 3 wheel bearings already. One of my friends suggested manual locking hubs for the front because it would then eliminate the closed bearing system. meaning cheaper if i were to wear one out. But I cant find a manual locking hub for my year Ranger anyone know of where i can order one??

Your friend doesn't know what he is talking about. When you switch over to hubs (you would need axleshafts, wheel/bearing units, and manual hubs), you still have a similar wheel/bearing sealed unit that is nearly the same cost and just as problematic. Only you spent a bunch of money and have more things to fail. Use GOOD QUALITY bearings (timkens) and keep the setup you've already got.
