Indeed 4.88s is the way to go with 35's and 3.0L.

I don't think it's ganna break them loose with such little power...idk...why you would wanna be doing that with 35's im really not sure, but if your serious you might wanna look into getting a motor that would turn them over.

I think you'll want as much gear as you can get. I just 35's on my F150 and with the 3.73's, 5.4 and a programmer I could still feel them sucking the power away. On a 3.0 it would be brutal.

I know it's been said already and you made your choice on 4.88's but I agree fully. I'm struggling on 4.10's with 33's and wish I had the cash for some 4.88's.

How much does that run front and rear and what all is involved -- is there a write up somewhere?

Woah woah woah. Hold the phone.

You want to run 35s on a 2WD?

Dude, whats the point?

With the money for regearing (if you don't do it yourself) you could be doing an SAS.

Agreed, I think it's just a waste of your time and money trying to do this with a 2wd, I would put the money into converting to a 4wd, or sell yours and get a 4wd.

exactly, I just don't see the point in lifting a 2wd and putting mud tires and gears when your not ganna be able to go anyway in the mud or snow without 4wd

Gosh maybe cause he likes the look. He says he has an ATV and just wants a little more traction. He didn't say "HURR SO I CAN OFFROAD THE WHOLE RUBICON".

I'm wasn't ******* on him, but making a point. It's a no *** weight RWD truck, so even with bigger tires and gears it's just ganna spin and come out from under him. Sorry for making a point though

You're not really making any point. My truck has no more weight in the rear than a 2wd and i have bigger tires and am in 2wd probably 99% of my driving. Maybe I should sell the bigger tires too?

And if you're talking about the road he's not gonna be spinning out with 35s. And if you're talking about off roading, 4wd is obviously best but that's not to say 2wd isn't good for playing on trails.
