regear?????

so i'm changing from 14x6 and ? tires to 15x8 and 30 tires. i have an 89 ranger 2.9L V6. will i have to regear? how much will this cost? Will i also have to get better brakes?

your stockers are probably 28s, youll be fine, but if you notice that you lost a lot of accelleration you could change the gears. as far as the brakes, just get some good aftermarket pads if you feel a loss in power

don't do anything for a 30" tire.

well right now as it is i don't have that good of acceleration so with the 30s i will have a hell of a time going up the freeway on my way home from college. if i do regear, i was thinking about saving myself some money and getting a friend to help me do it. anyone have any links on how to do this?

If you don't know how to do it, do not attempt it. It's alot more involved and complicated than people think and if its not absolutely perfect you will burn up your rear end.
