Rotors from RockAuto
 

I'm thinking about going with the Centric Performance Cryogenically Treated slotted Rotor (12665082CSL/R) for $98 or the Centric SportStop Drilled and Slotted Rotor (12765082L/R) for $81. Not sure what one still :shrug:

I should be able to use these pads on either right?

ive got the centric slotted rotors and posi quiet pads they work great dont get drill they all crack at some point plus they will serve no purpose on a ranger other then looks

get these pads they are pre scorched and have the low rotor wear you cant get slotted or drilled and slotted rotors turned

These are the ones I got from rockauto, I had to go with the smaller rotor to work with the RCD lift though. You would want the 12" rotor

Anybody have these Centric High Performance Slotted Rotor (12665082SR/L) for $74? They arent bad for the price but dont know if they are good.

hey, i was lookin at em, yes they might help your stopping power, but do you still have the drums in the rear? go to a junkyard and pull some discs off a mustang or expo. or get some rotors and calipers plus Disc swap brackets from somewhere.. I think that if you want improved stopping power that you will benefit from rear discs more than you would from better fronts... Front brakes can only do so much, you need some more help from the rear!!

True never thought of that but i thought Id start with the rotors first

I noticed a good improvement on my stopping power when i switched to rear cobra disc brakes...i guess the front cobra brakes helped too :cool:

But i also had the power slot rotors and posi centric pads, and that was a nice improvement over stock.
When upgrading brakes, always get a high quality rotor and good pads. That is where most of the improvements are had. Some people waste money in huge brake upgrades when all they really needed was a better pad. And also do rear disc brakes....expo axle swap or gt/cobra brake swap.

buy the brackets, cut off the old stuff... go to a yard and get, 75' Chevy 3/4 ton(12.5" rotor diameter) or something similar.. and bam, 3/4 ton rear discs = huge improvement in stopping power... yes a 15 inch rim will still work with 3/4 ton brakes!

Yeah that would work. I would go with a ceramic pad as its quieter and less dusty than a semi-metallic like the Wearever are.
