rough shifting after having the slave cylinder replaced
 

just had the slave cylinder in the clutch replaced, now it seems like my clutch has no travel and it's very stiff, also it is tough to get into gear, any idea? had none of these problems before and the tranny fluid was checked a month prior.

Bleed it. And then bleed it again, again, and again.

When you bleed it, you need to pump hard, long and fast.

Definitely air in the line. Bleeding can be a pain, but it needs to be done right. Get a friend with strong legs.

Read a tip from some others on another forum that suggested letting gravity do some of the work when bleeding the clutch. The idea was to open the bleed valve at the slave and allow gravity to do its magic before starting to pump it up. Haven't tried it myself but it could make sense. Be sure to keep the reservoir filled while gravity is working. Fluid will always flow downhill and as it does it should work to force any air in the line and the slave out.

It won't eliminate all the pumping but was thought to reduce how much was needed.
