they should pay YOU for the Dana 35, those things are the most worthless piles of **** on the face of the earth... not even kidding, i wouldn't take one for free.
moving on..
if your gonna wheel it lightly, on a pretty small tire a D30 would be fine. But my personal opinion would be to not waste your money on that axle and just get a D44 and call it good.

a built 44 can be almost as strong as a stock 60, but you still end up with a smaller ring gear, ball joints and everything else..

your finding FRONT 60s for 200 bucks?
I think your finding rear 60s for $200 lol
A D44 with upgraded shafts and nice big u-joints will hold 37s and take a beating with our 4.0s..
a stock D60 should be able to take a beating and come back for seconds easily.
its all personal opinion, keep track of my threads.. I'm goin wheelin next weekend, and a few times in march so we'll see how the D44 holds up with the spool and stock shafts.

i think it depends on how hard you are going to go wheelin and how much money you have to spend. I do moderate wheelin and im planning on doing a D44 swap and keeping it mostly stock until i need to upgrade. If i find im breaking sh*t, then i will go ahead and spend the money on upgrades, but for now im on a budget and i dont want to put anymore money into my worn out front end.
so my opinion is to start with a D44 and upgrade as needed.

a built 30 is very comparable to a stock 44. built 44 is comparable to a stock 60.
I can gaurentee ALL were rears....
you can't find a front driver drop 60 for less than 750....

Keep in mind as far as the d35, the jeep guys swap to an 8.8 our of explorer.
My advice is keep your eyes open for deals. You may end up finding say an old f350 for nearly free with the axles you want. You can just scrap the truck or part it out.
I have a guy locally im trying to get a set of d60's from with the steering box. For nearly free. If i help scrap the truck.

If you want 35's then the only thing a D35 will be good for is scrap metal. Some guys won't run 37's with a D44 and say you should go up to a D60 for 37's. It all depends on how you use the vehicle. If you wheel lightly the D44 will be fine. If you are going to use this as a full time wheeler and go rock climbing and such then maybe a D60 is what you need. For DD and some wheeling nothing to crazy then the D44 should be fine. If you are building a serious off road machine then bigger is always better.

if you're finding front dana 60s for that price, buy every one of them, turn around and sell them to someone in the next state for 4 times that and they'll be happy to pay it!
depending on usage, tire size, driving style and gear reduction, a dana 44 would be right for you.
you don't even want a D35! you're current axle is better than the D35.
