Screeching coming from Differential / Drive shaft

So whenever I accelerate or engine break I get this metal on metal screeching coming from my drive shaft/ Rear differential (I think!) It does not make the sound when I'm coasting down the road though. There is some oil on the differential housing but not enough to even make it drip. Could it be an axel bearing maybe? Please Help! Thanks

Wirelessly posted (Android)

I think that's a pinion bearing. The oil would be from the pinion seal. If its on acceleration it would be the inner bearing I believe. Regardless metal on metal is never good.

It turns out its the rear U joints. Is there a thread on here somewhere that has a good step by step guide to change them? What brand should i get for replacements?
