Shift kit?

I want to get a shift kit for my 2000 Ranger XLT. Ive heard that TransGo makes a good shift kit. Are there any other brands like this? and how much would a shift kit run me?? I want to really shorten up and tighten up my shifts. And last quesion is a shift kit hard to install??? Thanks

Read this. http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/...d.php?t=140987

Trans go is about 30 -35 add 15-30 for gaskets. Then 8ish quarts of Mercon V @ 3-4 per quart.

You will need a clean workspace with lots of light, and an inch pound torque wrench. This can be overwhelming if you don't have the info up front.

I forgot the link for a trans parts seller. If you have the extra cash on hand get a new EPC when you do the shift kit.

I paid nearly 4 times these prices for gaskets from the dealer. We are talking 1 vs 4 dollars. Not big amounts.
