Icon4 shifting problems

i just bought a 1994 4.0L ranger 4 speed w/ overdrive, and in the mornings and when the trucks cold it shifts fine but grinds into only 2nd gear but when the truck gets warmer the grinding gets worse and is really hard to get into gear?

i had a friend of mine look at it "hes a big ford guy" we changed the tranny fluid, and found that the inspection plug for the clutch was missing, and clutch looked a little rusty..

could my slave cylender be bad? or something have gottin into that hole and when the tranny warms up that expands and messes up the clutch?

May have just been a fluke... but on my old '97 I was having issues with it shifting into gear smoothly. I put some Lucas trans fix in and it fixed my problem!

Change your slave cylinder and quit slamming and grinding gears or you'll be doing the tranny as well. When you come close to a stop, slide it into first instead of waiting until your stopped. For shifting through the rest of the gears until you change the slave, Double clutch it.
