I just realized that it was the front cover and he popped it off of the the diff already. I think your going to have to pull the diff.

Ford says to use a suction gun to pull the old out threw the plug on the top.

If your cover is leaking i guess you would need to pull it for that.

i unbolted the three brackets holding the diff up and dropped it far enough to pull the cover. getting everything lined back up in place was a PITA though....

ford is retarded when they tell you to use a suction gun to pull it all out. thats by far the dumbest thing ive heard. you cant get all the old oil out and get the diff good n clean like that.

may the sas come sooner.....

idk if ford is retarded......other IFS rigs need to be pumped out and in as well. ther'es no room to pull the cover AND be able to lay a new layer of silocone on it in stock form....Superlift looks as though you might be able to do it....and you did it...so.... yea.

I guess ford thinks 90% fluid removal is good enough.

Its definitely easier than dropping the axle out.

im pretty sure it would have been HARDER to do without the superlift. without it im sure i would had to drop the diff just to get the bolts off. i was able to get the bolts off without dropping the diff but could cuz of the ring sticking out too far and pinching the cover between the ring and cross member.
