Slave Cylinder? Maybe?

Well the trucks got 2200 miles on it and the cluch pedal is really squeeky and makes funny noises, also the pressure in the clutch seems different everytime i drive it so i have to get used to it everytime. Is this a faulty slave cylinder or what else could it be?
Thanks for the help guys im not to familer with trannies.

My 04 Level II squeaked like an old truck from day one. I am pretty sure it is the linkage or the return spring. As the the inconsistant pressure, It could be a slave cylinder, or it could just be normal. Every Hydraulic Clucth I've ever owned feels different once and a while. If it is really concerning to you, have a dealer chack it out.

Sometimes the clutch pedal bushing will squeak. A shot of silicone spray will quiet it down.

A bad slave will have a clutch engagement that is abnormally close to the floor and it is usually is difficult or impossible to put into gear with the motor running and the truck at a stop. Look for signs of a fluid leak on the bottom of the bell housing.

My truck's slave failed under warranty at 17,000 miles. 40,000~60,000 is more like the norm. 2200 is abnormally low miles for this problem but stranger things have happened.

Found out today that the slave cylinder is going out, Im not a happy camper right now with the truck only having 2209 miles on it. In my opinion Fords qualty is not there. This is my second Ranger the first one was an 04 and so far both of them have had pretty bad problems early on. I think this will be the last Ford I buy for a long time to come. Sorry for the rant

The slave cylinder is notorious for being a piece of sh!t. I think Ford hasn't changed it because they know they can make a sh!t-ton of money for repairing them.
