Solenoid Plug Design Flaw

Me and my dad found this out last weekend while working on the transmission electronics.

Apparently, the Solenoid plug is designed wrong. If you can't see in the picture, the external solenoid plug has a huge opening when installed. This causes water, dirt, sand, etc. to get into the wiring, which corrodes it. This is probably what fried my older transmission.

I have a 5R55E automatic transmission. I'm pretty sure others have the same problem and have already reported them on here.
