4.56 or 4.88, I've been thinking the same thing for me, same set up as you, less miles and runnin 4.10 on 32"s right now though, but 35"s going on sometime over the summer, can't wait, gonna be beutiful! Post a pic when you get those 35"s on. Do you have a lift now that will fit them? What you going to have far as lift to clear the 35"s out of curiosity?

well ive measured out and with a 3 inch body a leveling kint in the front and a chepo set of autozone shakles i could clear 35" as far as fenders and my rims are of set quite a bit so i should be good as far as turning goes. right now im runnin stiock with a helper in the bak on 30x10.5 but i can lift and get the tires for just under $1000 im still in highschool tho so my resources are limited as well as my cash flow

You probably have 3.55's because 3.42 is a common size for GM vehicles (use to have one with that gear) In any event I would re gear.

I use 4.56 gears with my 3.0 with an auto tranny. I have 35's, 2WD and it runs great with that combination.

However, are you running the 7.5 or 8.8 rear? I don't think you can regear the 7.5 to 4.56 and you may need to get an 8.8 rear if you want to go up. I think it would be a good idea anyway since the housing and gears in the 7.5 are not as strong as the 8.8.

He said he has a 3.0, that would be a V6, not a 4banger, don't know where that came from, but mabye I missed something.

Yeah I know Matt. Let me know if you want some input or help on that truck, been there done that still doing that far as what your doing with a 2wd.

woo i tested em out it pushed em rather easily surprisingly i still need to get the rest of my lift so i can have 35"s all round cause it looked kinda really bad with them just on the bak but it works and i will probly still re gear down the road but for now on my budget it will do just fine
