I thought all the leaf sprung D44's were low pinion?

I would say roughly $300-$400

I had a 77 or 78 HP D44 from a F250, gave the housing away to Big04ranger...

I paid 40 bucks for it, and 40 bucks for a D60.

I have seen them go anywhere from 40-500

Largely depends on where you live. I imagine in Texas it would be cheaper. Here in central Cali, They are usually 600. I saw one at pick and pull and they charge 200 no matter what axle it is. (thus they usually pull anything valuable before it hits the yard!) I sold one on craigslist to a very deserving home for 375.

there was a HP D44 on craigslist for 300 awhile back, that might be the one you are talking about though.
