It all depends on what you want to do if you use your truck as a daily driver and you do alot of highway driving you might wanna rethink.

I dunno like motor auto or manual 2wd or 4wd stuff like that. Do you have any mods done to it ? I understand its 5 a.m. here and i havent slept either lol.

and i want to re gear for more pick up and ive been hearing that's one of the best ways for the 3,0
also i was thinking about going to bigger tires after re gearing but if i gain a good bit of pick up form re gearing then i don't want to lose it, by putting bigger tires on

what engine? whats your current gear ratio?
The break down of gear ratios:
3.73:1 = 3.73 turns of the tire = 1 turn of the driveshaft.
If you put in say, those 4.30 gears, the tire will turn 4.30 times for every 1 turn of the drive shaft, thus creating a faster bottom end, better for acceleration if using the same size tires.
The higher the number, the lower the gearing(more towards acceleration). The lower the number, the higher the gearing(more towards economy).
BUT, there's a fine line in regards to drivability when you start changing gear ratios. What's the size tire you are going to be running? What kind of driving you do?

The 4.10's worked fine for me. What do you wanna do with your truck? Why do you want more pickup? So you can drive around town and launch fast and do burn outs to show off for your friends and 12 year old girls? Seriously its a 3.0 not a race truck. I just can not justify my self to wanna put this kinda work/money into a 3.0. You just really got to think what it is really worth to you, im not trying to be an *** but for real.

i am thinking of keeping the same tire size with the 4.30 if its going help with the "get up" but if i can run on 32inch or 31 inch and still have alittle "get up" and not any power loss with the 4.30 ill get the bigger tires

Go to your truck, open the driver side door, in the door jamb there's a sticker, on that sticker there's something that says AXLE....what does it say? What number does it give?
4.30 is overkill unless you're running 33's. 4.30 is WAY overkill if you're running those 28's or so that come on it stock. You'll be revving at 3500 or so at only 65 mph. You're best bet is to drive someone's 3.0 w/ 4.10s and see how you like it. That way you just need to do a $200 axle swap instead of a $500 gear install.

the transmission makes a difference, as i'm 90% sure the auto and manual transmissions have different ratios... that being said on my 07 4x4 with a manual, i'm doing 140(km/h) down the hiway, in 5th gear at about 3100rpm, it's not bad, a little higher than i wish, but when i'm doing the speed limit (100) it's right where it should be... and i am almost completely certain that my truck has the 4.10 trac lock diff

1997-2001 Up 4.0L SOHC Explorer 5-Speed 3.40 / 2.05 / 1.31 / 1.00 / 0.79
so, .79(5th gear) times 4.10 = 3.239 overall ratio. your truck is sitting with a top gear of (depending on the year) but i think it's a .75 5th gear, if you give me the year and/or trans code in your door pannel, i can tell you, but i think it's .75 which times your 3.45 rear will give you 2.5875. if you wanted something like my rpm/speeds (which has some GOOD take off *****) you would need a 4.31 (keep in mind i'm not taking the difference of tires into concideration(you should have 28's), which mine has 31x10.5/15 (stock) so my spedo is calibrated to that
hope this has helped... if you wanted to give me more time i can calculate out the rpm/speeds for you, but it takes longer, and i have to remember how
