Drivetrain conversion

Hello everyone. I am about to buy a 2wd 1987 ranger with the 2.9 v6. I posted this in the suspension section to see if there is info in that area that I can get too. what I want to know is how hard is it to convert a 2wd of that year to 4wd?

Not worth it IMO. Just buy a 4wd. You can get them super cheap anyways

Just off the top of my head it would need a new tranny with the t-case tailhousing, unless the tranny has a removable tailhousing, a t-case, driveshafts, front axle, and t-case shifter. Like chainfire said, its not worth the trouble.
