Transmission problems in older Ranger

Ive got a older ford ranger also its a 1985 ford ranger and wanna know for sure what is wrong with it. it use to run fine then i was out driving and went to shift back into fourth got jammed in third and we got in out but you can enguage the clutch and it wont hardly go into gear it is stiff to shift it and gets jammed the truck has sat and i wonder what the issue is??? anyone know for sure what it is

From what I've learned over the years - Slave cylinder needs replacing.

Is it using any clutch fluid from the res??

yeah its got plenty of fluid like it was jammed into gear and would pull out but we got it out and it will shift but its hard on it to come back out of any gear its not driveable
