tranny problems

ok i did a body lift about a week ago on my 05 chevy avalanche. no problems til now. i am goin down the road with my music blaring and i notice the truck seems differant. its running at a higher rpm then usual. normally around 2500rpm on the highway stock and its up around 4500 rpm now. so im like o shat. so i get off the gas and slow it down and it shifts into the higher gear. so i get to the town where my gf lives i start to lose 1st gear, really sluggish and not wanting to pull the truck. well i get to my gfs house and park. start lookin round and i notice i have a leak on a trans line. it got up in my engine pully. it nawed about a inch gash in the metal line.
i have it towed free back to my house where i put in a union in the line and bend the line away from the pulley. so it wont happen again. i refill my fluid and add some lucas to it. my forward gears are sluggish and now i have no reverse. and now the damn check transmission light comes on. ive been messing with it for a few hrs and nothing. shifting thru all the gears for bout 30 min and nothing. it has plenty of fluid in it according to the dipstick.

what do i do?

well i had it taken to a tranny shop and they said its gone. they want 1800 to 2000 dollars to rebuild and install it. taking out all the weak links in it. il also get a 3yr 50,000 mile warranty for an extra 150 dollars. omg thats crazy when i can get a rebuilt one off ebay for 925. heres the link tell me what u think. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Rebui...mZ280268606708

That ebay trans seems like a pretty good deal, even comes with a one year warranty. The free shipping and no core charge is a huge plus when buying a trans online! If you can swap it that looks like a good option.
