I have a 97 4.0 ohv 4x4 ext cab auto with 154k on stock trans. i know the trans wont last. i have 2 questions. 1 being will the tranny match up and work form a 98 ranger 4.0 sohc 4x4 ext cab(im getting the entire truck just has a blown motor)? or find a wreckd 97 ranger with a manual and swap it all over to my ranger. any help would be great i need to kno withc way to go. also is it possible to beef up the whole auto tranny in my 97? make it handel towing and trips(not doin burnouts and driving it like a mustang)
