Transfer case swap

I cant find any other thread on Transfer case tech. My stock Transfer case is pretty much crap. I don't want to put another POS under their either. So i was wandering if anyone has ever put like a yota or chevy or w.e. under their ranger with their stock rear 8.8 and stock front IFS. I imagine I could have an adapter made for the driveshafts but im not sure. So any help is greatly appreciated.

why not just swap in a manual 1354 and get a rebuild kit for it. you would have as much money into the adapters and making the electronics work and getting the shifter to fit right it would cost less and be easier. just my thought if you have any ?s about swapping to a manual let me know its pretty easy and straight forward

well the reason for a different case is b/c of the crapiness of the 1354. there always screwing up. Ive never heard of a chevy transfer case problem or an older yota. but if a manual 1354 transfer is better i would definately look into it b/c sticks are the shizzzzzz.
