Dually Ranger?

Dually Ranger?
What would it take to turn your ranger into a dually?
I know you would need to get some custom fenders for normal looks, and new tires and wheels. I also know you would need a new rear axle, or i'm guessing haha. What else is there to making your truck a dually?
I'm not turning my ranger into a dually, ive just been wonderin lately.

But real duallies have axles specifically for 2 tires on each side, or is it just the adaptor on alot of trucks? I just wanna know what youd have to do to make it happen, without kits, adaptors or things to make it a dually. Like all custom work, like put your own axle on and such. You get the idea.

dually's with 38" Super swampers... yea, that'd be bad ***.
I used to see a mid 80's S-15 with a dually rear, that drove past the shop i worked at a while ago. My boss said that he had the Jcwhitney adaptors, and took dually bedsides from a fullsize, just cut them, and made them fit.
What would be an advantage of dually wheels on a ranger? just coolness? traction in mud pits?

Dual rear wheel axles have different hubs and wheel mounting surfaces than a single rear wheel axle.
You would have to get a complete one-off custom *** 8.8. Or shorten the hell out of a dana 80, sterling 10 3/4 (i think, might be the 11") for example.
Also the front would also have to have different hubs/adapters/spacers since a true duallie, all 6 tires must be able to rotate. The duallie wheels have a HUGE offset, so the mounting surface of the wheel is actually not even inside the width of the tire.
I think it would be pretty stupid. Because you'd still have a small v6 powerplant and ****ty transmission. The increase load capacity of a DRW axle would not be too benefitted b/c the rest of the drivetrain wouldn't be up to the task.
