Transmission fluid change?

I think my truck is ready (or way overdue) for a transmission fluid change, but I can't determine what the service inteval is, or even which transmission the truck has! Here is the breakdown:

2002 Ranger 4.0 extended cab, 4x4, 5-speed auto transmission.

The owner's manual refers to the fluid capacities for the 5R44E and 5R55E. The scheduled maintenance guide refers to service intervals for the AX4S, 4F50N, 4R100, and 4F27E transmissions.

That's six transmissions, noted in two different publications. Yet, no where can I find which transmission is in my truck. First I need to determine which transmission I have, then I can determine the service interval. Does anyone know which transmission is in the Ranger? Thanks.

This website should answer the question about which transmission you have.

OR 4x4

Thanks for the link. Had to back out and go to the auto trans section, but it looks like it is the 5R55E. That sound right?
