A4LD Rebuild even worth it in 2023?

Hi all,
I've been thinking about rebuilding the A4LD on my 93' Ranger 2.3L I4 (100k miles). The front seal blew and there were metal shaving in the pan. I'm having an EXTREMELY hard time finding hard parts such as the front oil pump, better sprags, and other things. I've located a new Valve Body + Separator Plate, new TC, and even a deluxe rebuild kit (whole nine yards), but I don't want to start a project just to have it blow up on me a year down the road. I'm getting very frustrated trying to locate a front oil pump (Stator w/ Gears). If anyone can weigh in with their opinion or point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

Correctly rebuilt automatic should be good for 200k+ miles, same for A4LD

Replacing just bands and clutches(soft parts) only will have a breakdown in 12 to 18 months, again for any automatic

How bad is the old pump, can you just replace the gears/parts if available?

I should be able to. The only thing that has me worried is that while working on engine problems, I let the engine idle and had to give it throttle a couple times (over the course of a few months, while trans was is P or N, never tried to move truck under its own power). Only issue is that as soon as fluid reaches the pump, it pukes out. No more leakage means no more fluid reaching pump. So its likely been running dry. I've yet to pull it and look (I'm 300 miles away from the project). I believe I can locate the gears and all. I just need to know what I need to rebuild the pump and the proper procedures to go about doing so.

Google: Auto Trans Rebuild Chapter 3 Pump Assembly

Watch the 5min video
There are several other videos that are longer

The fact you care about it means you will have the BEST rebuilt A4LD since the last owner of one cared about the rebuild process, lol
Trans shops do it repeated times, so can goof up, and they have to do it cheapest way possible to stay competitive with other trans shops
Trust yourself and your common sense
