TRANY NOT GOING INTO GEAR?????

I GOT A 93 RANGER WITH A 4.0 AND THE A4LD I JUST WAS DRIVING AND IT I5T STOPPED MOVING NOW IN ANY GEAR IT WONT GO IN TO ANY GEAR SHIFT LINKAGE IS STILL HOOKED UP AND WORKS NORMALLY COULD IT BE THE TRANNY SOLENOID CUS I REALLY DONT WANT TO BY A NEW TRANNY JUST YET

Check all the shift solienoids and torque converter. Could be the tranny. My O/D went on mine and I had to have it worked on.
