Bad steering wheel wobble?

Well i installed my new Sway bar end links the other day, and rotated my tires.. Now i have a really bad steering wheel wobble at 45MPH and above.. Its REALLY bad..

I have had the suspision that one of my rear tires was out of balance, could this be it? and now im just feeling it really bad cause its in the front? or could it be the sway bar end links?

k, but the thing is i never got my swampers balanced and at abou 40-45mph they would shake but when i got to about 47 and over it would be fine again? it might be uneven wear?? maybe rotate your tires and see if that changes anything?

Pull the wheels back off and check for a piece of rust or debris where the rim meets the hub . You may have something not letting the rim sit flush against the hub. It doesn't take much.

did you not read what i posted on your other thread? IMO you should never cross rotate a radial tire. especially the larger M/T and A/T tires. otherwise you will have the same issue you have now. LOL

yeah, but then other people said that was a myth, or just with older radial tires.. I guess i will cross the tires again to where they were, i have alot of respect for your knowledge lol..

But i have a feeling the tire is still out of balance..

i had the same problem several times... trust me. take them back to the original spot, then move the rears forward and the fronts to the back, dont switch sides.

I rotate my 37s this way, Nissan tells you to rotate them this way in the book! (my moms ride). I rotate everything the way I said now and never get a wobble. They wear good too.

Do what you want but that is what I would do.

btw I am not a mechanic or someone that works at a tire shop, just someone that does it at home. I had a horrible wobble once with 33s and even worse with 35s when i did cross rotation, flipped it around and it was much better.

yeah, Like i said, i respect your knowledge zach.

I will try that and see if it helps. What are the odds of a tire NOT needing weights? Like being balanced naturally? I got them from 4wp and paid the extra cash to have them mounted and balanced, but one of the tires has no weights..

i know theres a trick of putting a bunch of beebees or something like that into larger tires for balancing...

worth doing some research on. a lotta guys with big lifted rigs in reno did that.

Was there any indication that there was a weight on there?

Sometimes tires zero out and you do not need to stick any weights on them. When I work at the Yamaha shop, about 1 in 20-30 would do this. But on a 35 inch mud terrain, I would doubt it.

Also the tires could have worn unevenly if you havent rotated them in a while. And also sometimes tires just come out of balance.
