Upgrade a M50D-R1 with M50D-R1HD parts?
Has anyone tried upgrading a M50D-R1 with M50D-R1HD parts?

Is this possible?

You should have a R1HD if you have a 03.... R1's are pre 01's and older I believe...

According to the TRS tech library the HD is only used on the SOHC 4.0 engines.
