Wheel Bearing Play

Is it possible to have a bad wheel bearing that doesn't have any play in it when I jack it up and try to rattle the tire? I got a sound i'm trying to pinpoint, I've had a couple of people in the truck and they both seem to think it was the drivers side wheel bearing.

Bad ball joints will make sound. Maybe your rack and pinion? Bad wheel bearing is a possibility.

was there any play? Try to shake your cv joints.

Whats it sound like?

Its kind of a rubbing sound (the frequency seems to track the speed of the truck) that you can feel through the floor (but not through the steering wheel) that doesn't go away when I step on the clutch or when I'm in 4WD. Its most noticeable when you get above 30mph. The sound changes a little when turning. When I put the truck on jack stands and ran it it doesn't make any sound. I've also checked the brakes as well.
