Wheel Bearings

So my truck started humming. so i figure i need to change out the front wheel bearings....does anyone know how? haha i have never done it. also does anyone know where i can get just the bearing? everwhere i look its the entire assembly. i cant afford that just yet.

99 ford ranger xlt super cab 4.0L

you have to buy the entire assembly. Pretty easy to replace.

Take off wheel, brakes, rotors, dust shield then unbolt the wheel bearing. Replace.

2wd and 4wd are going to be different processes... which do you have?

if you know how to change your tires,and brakes pads then your wheel bearing is gonna be easy for you.all you gotta do is remove tire and like 5 bolts and one nut

Actually no, his is a 99 which means its a pulse vaccume system. If I remeber right when I did mine, I think its 4 bolts??? or soemthing like that, then there is a circlip that holds your CV in place.

Pick up a haynes manual

ok. all this sounds right from what ive been hearing. i will look furhter into it
