PRICE DROP!!! $100 SHIPPED!!!!!! I pulled all of this last week and then realized that it is for a 31 spline axle. I toyed around with the idea of making adapter plates but it would be easier to just go get the brakes from a 28 spline axle. Everything is there: 2 - Backing Plates w/ dust shields 2 - Rotors (Look very new, should probably be turned though $10) 2 - Calipers 2 - Sets of brake pads (in good condition) All the Parking brake parts. All nuts and bolts Once again this is for a 31 spline axle. You can make it work for a 28 spline axle. It will just require drilling out holes in the backing plates to match up with the holes on the axle. Everything bolts on and then you will need to make adapters for the brake lines. You do not need a new proportioning valve or anything. Just bolt them in and hook up your brake lines and you are set. If you have any questions I will be more then happy to help you. Im looking to get $150 or BEST OFFER for everything shipped. Attachment 152675 |
You had me on the sale, up until I read the price.

31 splines are on level 2's and explorers
how thick are the backing plates that you have to drill holes in?? is there enough room??? |
What did these come off of?
Looks like an explorer? How does the e-brake cable attach? |

The stock cables won't hook up without some modifiction. I made it work with explorer clevis hooks from jegs.com and some cable clamps. Seems to be holding up so far.

For the parking brake I didnt think that far ahead. I was going to rig something up after I got them installed. A new explorer e-brake cable is only around $20 for the 2 parts. That was probably what I was gonna do.
Also as I looked at them this afternoon I noticed I dont have slider pins for one side. These can be picked up at autozone for $5-6. |
The Level II axle is 31 spline and big bearing. The plates will mount up , but there is not enought space between the housing flange (backing plate) and the axle hat/flange to fit the parking brake. I tried it on my Level II axle and abandoned it.
Look for Crown Vic disks... |

Look for Crown Vic disks... I wish I knew about the Cobra conversion...I'd have a bracket CNC'd for me so i'd have vented rotors in the back, instead of solid. AND an easy to hook up ebrake with no drum parking brake...it uses the pads.

The parking brakes worked on my Lvl II axle (02' Fx4 axle is the same as Lvl II's) it just took some small modifications to make them fit.
