Wish I hadn't spent so much this Christmas. If it's still for sale after Christmas and I get enough money consider it sold.

Yes, still have it. I am off work all next week, so would be easy to show you next week. Once January come around, I will be back to 12 hour days and only free time on weekends.

email is best [email protected]

Also, no Rangers ever came with Disks - until now. The 2010MY Rangers finally have discs due to addition of RSC system. That axle however, is the 28 spline axle with Crown Vic discs. The FX4 axle is a South American Ranger axle. It is the larger housing, larger bearings, 31 spline, similar to Explorer / F150 with drums. On top of that, it is the only 8.8 to ever come stock with a Torsen diff (new is over $500 alone).

i looked it up and according to various posts on here it is basically the same as a limited slip.

It is a torque biasing differential. Like a limited slip, only better. A limited slip ford diff relys on clutch packs to transfer torque to both wheels.

A torsen is a fully gear driven unit that actually transfers to torque to the wheel with traction. Much better, much more durable.

Busy Tuesday? I think I may have to stop over to check it out. I'm going to be coming up to Livonia so let me know if we can work something out. I'm very very interested.

How many miles are on it? And would you be able to meet in Toledo? I would have to wait til the end of Jan. if its still available then.

To be honest, I am not sure of the mileage, but I would guess under 50K, but heck these don't wear out! I have a few of these and cannot remember when / which this is. I have one on my truck now, one fully appart to be upgraded, and this one that I had as a "spare". (Yes, I buy too much stuff!).

As for meeting in Toledo, possibly, but cannot do on a weekend, only a late weeknight, as my weekends are consumed with my house projects (you know, siding and windows in the dead of winter...)

i just want to clarify something here... someone said it's a torque bias axle? and actually transfers the power to the tire with traction? this would imply that if you took a jack, and jacked up 1 rear tire, put it in gear, the truck would pull off the jack, and until that tire hit the ground, wouldn't turn much at all?
