Mustang rear disc brakes for your ranger--Oregon

Up for sale is a set up to put disc brakes on your stock ranger rear end. They are off a 95 Mustang GT. You have to cut the brackets so it'll fit on the inside of your axle flange. Its easy to do.

Included:
  • Calipers
  • Caliper mounting bracket
  • Axle mounting bracket (the one you have to modify)
  • Anti-moan brackets

What you'll need to finish the swap:
  • Rotors of your choice
  • Pads of your choice
  • Soft lines

This is a much easier, cheaper, and better than an expo rear end for disc brakes.

Heads up: This will work on all 7.5" axles and 8.8" 28splines.

Ben....get expos...they'll bolt up to your 31spline axle. These CAN work, but you'll need a bracket CNC'd for you to fit the axle brake flange. Grant...pipe in young grasshopper.

The mustang guys do this swap all the time.
Here is a link to show all you have to do.
Just cutting the axle mounting bracket so it slides onto the inside of the axle flanges.

SN95 Cobra rear brakes and Fox length axles - Four Eyed Forums

Sorry, only works for the 28spline axles only. 31spline use the expo rears, they'll bolt up so your big bearing axle flanges.

From what I've read it hooks up like normal, but you need to run a spacer (piece of metal tubing) between the caliper and the slack in the soft tubing cover of the ebrake cable...like so:

PS...what is up with your sig quote? lol...

No. The anti-moan brackets bolt right up. You modify the axle mounting brackets, like so:

That way they fit on the back side of the axle flange, like so:

Correct. This is what the swap looks like on a ranger 8.8 axle:

You only need to modify the axle mounting bracket for rangers. Mustangs have a bunch of extra crap on their axles because they don't use leafs.

Get a loan from the parents. Tell them for safety of your life and others on the road, you need to replace them to discs
