Hey guys I知 new to the forum, and done a good bit of searching and can稚 seem to find exactly what I知 looking for... I picked up a super clean 02 Ranger Edge extended cab with 100k miles. I知 interested in swapping FROM the 02 Edge from end to a 2006~ front end. Not sure what all year models have the front end I知 wanting to switch to, so that would be helpful, also what parts are needed for the swap. Thanks fellas!
The white truck is mine, the other is the front end I知 wanting to swap to.
2004-2011 is what you're looking for.
If you want that bumper, it has to come from a 2006-2011 truck. 2004-2005 had a bumper more like what you have now.
The parts you're looking for:
-Hood
-Bumper
-Header Panel
-Grille
-Driver's Side Hood Hinge
-Hood Latch
That's it. And since your truck is white, finding parts in the junkyard that are already white shouldn't be hard. Be forewarned though, I drove two hours one way to pick up my hood, an hour one way to pick up my hinge and latch, two hours one way for the bumper, and the rest I bought online. I saved money not buying everything brand new, but I had to travel to find it all.
Awesome thanks for the help bro! I wasn稚 sure if that list would have have worked for my truck. Most of the other threads were for different year models. And what exactly is a header panel? I mean is this swap pretty easy?
Yes, on the 01-03 trucks the grille goes under the headlights, which hides the header panel. On 04-2011 trucks, the grille is only between the headlights and the part under the headlights is actually part of the header panel.
Everything is bolt on and I did it without any help. Worst part is finding the parts, but as I mentioned before, since your truck is white, finding used parts won't be hard, especially if you live near some decent junkyards.
