Hey..so about 2 weeks ago..a stray cat got in my garage and pretty much destroyed my headlights, and hood as well. I guess it decided these were good places to file down its claws. Well as bad of a thing as this is..(believe me I was ready to put a hole through a wall..and still am actually)..I think it may have jumpstarted me to do something different with my headlights.

I have always wanted to get Hids in my headlights and fogs..but every since I lifted it..I already blind the heck out of people, and we all now how Hids do in a reflector housing..they shine everywhere. I have tried to adjust my headlights down..but I don't know if its the aftermarket lights or what but they just won't align right.

So here is my thought..either I want to figure out how to wet sand my lights and repair them..and maybe put in a projector and do hids..or..just get these off of egay and call it a day..

or I could just throw Hids in these housings and tell people to get over it..haha but I don't think thats what I wanna do.

I just don't want them to look ricey..I'm not a real big fan of halos for that reason.

Tell me what ya'll think..what should I do?

P.S..if anyone wants to help me trap a cat..that would be wonderful..

I have some traps setup but I guess the cat is allergic to tuna or something

 

If the scratches are not very deep, there is probably no need to pick up a new set of lights. I have used 1000 grit sand paper and a product called Plastx by Maguires with my corners and had excellent results.

Matt, there's no need for a write up, it's simple.
What you'll need: Plastx, wet sanding 1000 grit paper, paper towels, glass cleaner, water

1. Pour a small amount of water onto the damaged plastic and onto the sand paper

2. Sand down the damaged plastic in a circular pattern
-Add more water from time to time so that the plastic is always lubricated

3. Once the deep scratches look to be gone, clean off the plastic with glass cleaner and paper towels

4. Apply some Plastx to a paper towel and buff out scratches in plastic

5. Remove excess with paper towel

6. Repeat process for any other damaged plastic

Anybody know the proper way to adjust the lights down? My lights have what looks like 3 adjusters on the back..but I can't get them to do right

I don't want to get Hids and be blinding the crap out of everyone ridiculously

 

eh they are ok not that great i'd rather you leave it stock or black headlight mod
