08 Billet grille help

Ok, so I want to put a billet grill on my truck, but im not sure about something. On my truck the grill is the cheap plastic one piece grill and all I can find are billet grill inserts. So I think I have to find the outer piece to it (white so it will match my truck).

Here is my grill

And this is what I want it to look like.

Size: 42.8 KB

And this is pretty much the billet grill

So is that Item the only one I need? Or where could I find the outer piece?

Thanks

I have a 04-05 2wd grill that the center piece can be taken out and add the billet grill you want. Only thing you need to paint the surround white like you want.

that 2nd pic of that white truck, looks like the owner cut out the center of the 06-07 sport grill, hence the 4 tips that were left behind after...

It would only work on a sport grill like KLC has. The 4 tips on the grill are the mounting points for the 06+ Sport Grill insert from factory.

I'm having the same issue. I talked to the "customizer" guy at the T-rex Billet Grille company. For an 08 you'll have to buy the 21bar billet grill. And then cut out the middle bars. I'm going to cut mine up tomorrow.

according to the guy ay Trex, where I have the yellow marks, you cut the grill. and then the red marks are where you rivet.

Dude... No. run away from the thought. I've been working on it since 2pm and it's now 9pm. I'm losing the war.

I'm going to try a little longer tomorrow. But if that doesn't pan out, I might take you up on that grill. How much?

Well the the billet part is pretty. And my old grill is cut all to h&ll. Measured it all pretty like and made the cuts with my dremel. Go to rivet the billet in... and it doesn't fit. The jacka$$es at Trex sent the wrong grille after they said it would fit. So they're sending me a the right billet grill and reimbursing me for a new blue grill. so much fun

The 04-05 is like a 2 piece one. The center were the emblem is at can be removed. The 06+ are all one piece. Here are some pics to compare between the two:

Dude don't need to modify from an older ranger!

Carriage Works Main Grill 2004-2005

Wayne (GraniteGuy) has them on his website, or just pm on here. They are a little more but they last a lot longer.
