Hi all ..Happy Holiday's.,
For my gift this year I'm allowed to pick out a bed cover for my 99 ranger stepside. I have a $300 price range for it but the cheaper the better. I do have a few general ideas of type i want. I really dont like the fiberglass ones as much as the flat versions(most of the flat ones are black like my ranger :D), but i would like one that does not use a clip-on,rollup,easy to force open type of latching. A hard surface kind that has a lift gate action(lifts all at once not in sections or rolling up) would be ideal and if it had a built in lock or a way to lock behind the tailgate would be best. I have been searching the forums and internet for them so many to select from so id like your help, if you have one of your own or can find one like im searching for please post a link and let me know thank you very much . <3

Checkerpro has a low profile fiberglass one. not sure what the price is, but they are light as can be.

Called em base price for that one is about $650 too much for my range but almost exactly what im looking for, they did have a soft cover type for about $350 that is decent but not great thanks for link tho drppdyllwrngr.

 

The best site i have found so far is

only issue is they only have Roll Up covers price $284-$356. I wanted to avoid these kinda if possible but if anyone uses these and can say how solid they are and if it can be secured down id like to know more about them.

 

the best thing to find one under $300 is gonna be craigslist, ebay, or the classifies on here. i picked 3 fleet side ones up here for around $100 each. hard fiberglass with locks. i have a hard fiberglass over the rail one on my stepside and i think i gave $300 shipped for it from a guy on RPS
